We are delighted to launch the 2026 call out for Makers & Event Organisers!
Before registering or logging into your profile, please click here to read the supporting information for makers and event organisers below. This includes guidance, eligibility criteria and terms and conditions, and will ensure a strong application and the success of your August Craft Month event.
If you are a GANS (Guild, Association, Network, or Society), you will receive separate communications from DCCI.
The deadline for submission of your application form is Sunday 7th June.

The Application Process
Registration
Simply register to create an account with your contact name, email and a password.
- If you registered a profile in 2025 there is no need to do this again, you will be able to log in with the email and password you provided.
- Add your postal address to receive the August Craft Month event pack
- Add your social links
- Confirm that you meet our eligibility criteria
- Tell us any interesting stories about you, your organisation and/or your event
Once your have registered and set up your profile, you can apply with one or more events easily!
Each event will be reviewed by the team before publication to your private profile. Once approved for inclusion in August Craft Month you will then be able to make edits to your events.
Adding your event(s)
- Add an event name/title, something to interest the public!
- Add a compelling description of your event.
- Upload a featured image to highlight your event (Please do not include a logo here)
- Create your image gallery, please include a logo if appropriate
- Tell us your event type, craft type, and who its suitable for.
- Add accessibility info, booking details and any memberships you hold.
Please submit your events before Sunday 7th June.

Online workshop: Teaching Creative Workshops
When: Wednesday 13th May | Time: 11am | Duration: approx. 1 – 1.5 hours
- Are you a maker, confident in your making skills and wanting to pass these on or grow your income through workshops and classes?
- Or maybe you are already teaching your craft, but want to connect in with other makers who teach.
- Are you planning to host an event during this year’s August Craft Month and want some support?
Patricia Van Den Akker of the Design Trust, through DCCI and Craft NI as part of August Craft Month resources for craft makers, will host a short, tip-filled webinar, based on her 2025 book Teaching Creative Workshops.
Packed full of advice, inspiration and practical information, this will be a practical, step-by-step session focused on helping makers decide what kind of event is right for you.
