
About the event
Hands-on demonstrations with the Irish Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.
Guild members will be on hand to demonstrate and give basic instruction in the craft of weaving and spinning. The hands-on demonstration will highlight the techniques used in traditional textile making including: inkle, rigid heddle, 4 shaft weaving, wheel & spindle spinning.
Guild members will demonstrate and give basic instruction in the crafts. There will be looms threaded and ready for use with wheels, spindles and fleece available for spinning. Refreshments included.
