
About the event
Learn the basics of silk painting and take home your hand made scarf and original silk painting
Day one
Get a demonstration in the art of silk painting from the basics of tie dyeing to shibori techniques and learn how to use these in silk painting. Participants will prepare a silk scarf or cushion cover using these techniques. Design and prepare a frame of silk cards and bookmarks using the gutta resist technique.
All the prepared pieces will be left over night to dry.
Day two
Having fun with colour and finishing all the pieces. Adding a gutta design and painting your prepared scarf or cushion cover. Adding paint and finishing your cards and bookmarks.
Take home your hand painted silk scarf or cushion cover and a number of hand painted cards and bookmarks
