About the event
Open Studio and Make a Felted Stone with Local Wool as part of August Craft Month with Juliane Gorman
Discover the enchanting world of feltmaking at the Open Studio of Juliane Gorman, the visionary feltmaker behind FeltHappiness. Step into her Art-Shed, a tiny haven where fluffy wool fibres come alive, and witness the captivating transformation of ordinary material into extraordinary, stylish, and water-resistant hats.
With the addition of soapy water and gentle massage, Juliane weaves her magic, crafting playful and fashionable hats that are as functional as they are beautiful. Immerse yourself in the creative process as you observe her skilful hands at work, breathing life into wool fibres.
But the experience doesn’t stop there. Dive deeper into the world of felting as Juliane invites you to try your hand at creating your very own felted rock. Using Irish-raised Jacob Wool, you’ll learn the ancient art of felting and walk away with a tangible reminder of your creative journey.
