Join us for an afternoon of all things linen in the stunning surroundings of the Ulster Folk Museum.

Take a short walk to the Ballydugan Weavers House for a talk and demonstration by Roisin Aiston, the museum’s in-house linen weaver. You’ll hear about the process of linen making from flax to fibre and see our original loom in action.

Hear from Valerie Wilson, Curator of Textiles, on the museum’s outstanding textile collection and the linen gems it contains. She’ll also delve into the importance and impact of the linen industry on the province.

End the afternoon with print maker and Creative Peninsula artist Lucy Turner who will guide you through a hands-on activity where you will screen print onto linen making your own unique piece of art to take home.
