Spin Yarn using a Drop Spindle
Learn the magic of spinning fibre into handspun yarn.
In this workshop, Diane Murphy, from the Irish Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, will guide you in the art of spinning yarn on a drop spindle. Together, we will discover a variety of fibre preparations, go through the process of drafting and adding twist to create your own unique hand spun yarn. Spindles and materials will be provided for use during the workshop. Spindles will also be available to purchase by participants if desired.
Advance booking is required. Cost €40, of which €10 is a non-refundable deposit. Email the Guild Secretary at hello@weavespindye.ie to pay your deposit and book your place. Places limited.

The event takes place in a ground floor room. There are toilets available on this floor. There are tea and coffee making facilities available for course participants. The venue has a Luas stop outside. Parking is available in nearby multi-storey car parks. We recommend travelling by public transport where possible.
