Fashion Summer Camp
10am-1pm, 31st July – 4th August
In parallel with the festival activities, a Summer Camp for children aged 6-16 will take place between 10am and 1pm each day. This is a private event run by one of our members, Niki Collier. Tickets can be booked here. The camp will give children the chance to try different textile techniques each day, including: eco dying, felting, embroidery, and lace-making while at the same time considering upcycling and recycling of materials.

Want to know more?
Reach out to Niki- she would show you all you want to see.
Proper Fun.
Each day try a new project.
Each project shows different materials.
Each material teaches a new skill.
Each skill inspires you to try different tools.
So much learning.

Felting
Make your own hat from wool, silk and found objects. Discover the ancient craft of creating fabric from wool fibres.
Sewing
Make patterns and sew a skirt from an old shirt. Patterns are suitable for those who have never seen a needle and a tread, but we have something in store for brave curious makers.
Lace Making
Transform an old T-shirt into a new statement dress. All you need is a pair of scissors and your imagination.
Eco Dying
Using the park to learn about plants and bugs and making a silk scarf for keepsake
Capsule Fashion Collection
This week of learning would give you the chance to take home a capsule collection of creations for you to wear for the summer.
Scrap Books
Demystify the process by keeping a scrap book with materials and steps that you have taken to make your pieces.
Fashion Show
Each participant is invited to take part in the fashion show on Friday. Everyone would be wearing their own creations and show off their creativity to family and friends. Invite your neighbors’ too!
Photo shoot
You are the fashion star of this summer camp. Each designer gets a set of 6 professional photos for their own portfolio.
Photos are taken by a professional photographer.”The purpose of the group is to promote and raise awareness of craft.

We offer teaching and community engagements for individuals and groups with a range of abilities and variety of origins.
We love collaboration and we strive to continuously further our skills.
And we show our work in an annual exhibition.
