Silver Jewllery for Beginners
About the event
In this one day workshop students will get a basic foundation in jewellery making skills, learning techniques such as soldering, forming and polishing.
Make a silver ring with a bezel set stone and those who wish to progress further may join the following days class.
Tutor Eva Lynch has been teaching silversmithing and jewellery in Grennan Mill Craft School in Thomastown for 10 years. She also has extensive experience making and teaching in ireland, the UK and India.

“I am passionate about learning, teaching and preserving ancient hand-skills through my silversmithing work. I began my training and working in the industry under the late master silversmith Peter Donovan and I have trained with master craftspeople all over the world from Kenji Io in Japan, to Gurudutt Soni in india and irish master silversmith Brian Clarke who dedicated a decade to figuring out the lost techniques of the Iron Age ribbon torc. I have sepnt a decade tarvelling back and forth to India to learn, make and teach my craft over there. I have been the metalwork tutor in Grennan Mill Craft School for the past 10 years.”
