Natural Dyeing for Beginners

Working with wool is my joy.

Whether you’re a spinner, knitter, or dyer curious about trying something new, this short talk and demonstration will walk you through the basics of dyeing natural fibres using natural materials you can find in the hedgerows and garden    Making the process as simple as possible, explaining the dos and don’ts .  Showing the basic tools needed for success, giving you the confidence to have a go yourself and explore the magic of natural dyes.

It is suitable for anyone with an interest in natural dyes and the magic that they can make. This event is not suitable for very young children, although not fully wheelchair friendly the room where the talk takes place is wheelchair accessible but the toilet facilities are not.

Accessibility Information

The demonstration is wheel chair friendly, however toilets are not accessible. Parking is on the street outside which is a quiet road. There will be limited number of chairs available Children with an adult are welcome but it is not really suitable for under 10 year olds
