Sashiko is a type of stitching which originated in Japan, it is traditionally white on blue or black, but many variations can be found. The stitching is based on a simple grid and a multitude of patterns can be formed. No experience is required.
Mary Palmer is an award winning quilt and textile artist based in Cork.
