Local woolworker, Noah Camps, will be weaving a raw wool rug on an antique upright loom in The Weaver’s Cottages.
The cottages were built in the 17th century to house those who wove for Huntington Castle. They are a time capsule for traditional wool crafts and domestic rural Irish life. The wool in this project has been sourced from the castle sheep, reuniting the old bonds between the two buildings.

“Noah is a local woolworker who felts and weaves in the fields around her house. After years of living as a spiritual nomad, she came home to study at Grennan Mill Craft School and found weaving the perfect counterpart to meditation and journeying. Sourcing wool from her community, she aims to support sustainable Irish resources and local linking. Noah finds it important to spark conversation around the misuse Irish wool and traditional skills. She crafts no-kill sheepskin rugs on a commission basis.”
