Patricia Millar Ceramics Open Studio
Patricia invites you to her open studio just minutes away from the Giant’s Causeway.
Visitors will see both her clay workshop space and have an opportunity to peruse the gallery, including one- off pieces and sale items.
With a special focus on smoke and obvara firing for August Craft Month, there will be a chance to see demonstrations and ask questions about these techniques.
Patricia is known for her use of site-specific materials added to local clays such as rushes and gravels. Inspired by ancient pottery processes, she fires her work in pits and brick kilns. Using fuel such as seaweed and native wood, the ceramic surfaces are marked with the unique colour signature of the landscape.
