Lughnasa Celebration

Featured Image

Join us for a Lughnasa harvest feast around the tablecloth on the 24th August in Glenbower Wood. Showcasing this textile work-in-progress, there will be an opportunity to take away an embroidery kit and your design will be added to the cloth before its next outing.

This gathering follows Idir an Dá Linn (Between the Two Lakes), a participatory performance and community keen mourning the loss of the lake that was once at the centre of the woodland.

All welcome – pack your picnic and maybe something tasty to share.

Please visit www.greywoodarts.org for more information and to see updated timings.
Or contact create@greywoodarts.org or 085 269 5731 to get involved.

This event is part of Gather Round, a textile project to create a giant reusable 3m x 8m tablecloth around which the community can gather for events, exploring how we come together and connect with one another.

No booking necessary.

This event is part of Cork Craft Month.

Gather Round is supported by Cork County Council.
