A series of introductory bladesmith courses aimed at diversifying the stereotypical smithing community.
With an aim to attract interest from a new generation of smiths or feed the dreams of anyone who has wishes to try their hands at making their own knife – caters to the total beginner to more experienced looking to deepen their understanding about this ancient craft.

The workshop is located at my house, access to toilets and wash facilities is available as is refreshments.
Disabled access is possible, but the nature of the activity would require prior contact to ensure we are able to accommodate.
PPE will be provided for students but all attending are advised to wear sturdy footwear, jeans and long sleeves

Working with hand tools to shape hot metal, fire quenching, grinding and sharpening – all the skills of the bladesmith will be explored and explained to give all participants the chance to leave with a knife made by their own hands.
Light lunch and refreshments provided, on site parking and facilities available.
