About the event

A jam packed month of events with Elle Aime Upholstery. Select between a full week of French upholstery or try your hand over a weekend session to upholster a footstool.

-Intensive Weekends – Modern Upholstery Creative Footstool – From Saturdays until Sunday from 10am until 5pm (Everything + lunch included) Dates Available 12th & 13th / 19th & 20th / 26th & 27th. €280

If you’re not sure whether upholstery is for you and want to try your hand at something new or if you just fancy getting creative and making an amazing project, then this upholstery course is for you!
Designed as an introduction to the craft, we will Upholster a small footstool with legs with modern techniques.

You will learn about the tools and materials used as well as covering lots of techniques from elastic webbing, applying hessian and foam, cutting fabric, corners and shallow buttoning. You will also have a choice of paints or waxes to finish your legs to match your fabric. This course is led by Laure Mouniamy, who learn the traditional craft in Paris.

-Intensive Weeks – The Art of French Upholstery – From Monday to Friday from 10am until 5pm (Everything + lunch included) Dates Available 7th to 11th / 14th to 18th/ 21st to 25th. €430

Join Laure for this 5 day intensive Masterclass ‘ The Art of French Upholstery’ , making a Georgian Dressing Stool, in the traditional French manner. You will learn about the tools and materials used as well as covering lots of techniques from hemp webbing, applying hessian, horse hair, sophisticated stitches, cutting fabric, corners and blind stitches. This course is a rare chance to extend upon your upholstery skills and venture into the fine details of Antique Restoration.

No prior experience is required to tackle any of our courses! You will be given a full induction, covering all the tools of the trade, and everything is included you just have to bring yourself. We will guide you through every step of the process and you will be amazed by what you can achieve! We encourage total beginners to strive for that professional look. If you have never tried upholstery before, just go for it!​
