Day One Event 1:
Demonstration of both the ancient & modern method of mosaicing with a meet the maker, mosaicist, Deborah Birmingham. 10.00-12.30pm

Demonstration of 2D and 3D Felting with a meet the maker, textile craftworker, Maureen Shean.

Day Two Event 3:
Demonstration of Eco Printing using sustainable materials with a meet the maker, textile craftworker, Maureen Shean

Maureen Shean experiments and works with eco printing and felting, using natural flora, fauna and recycled materials from her local environment on Valentia Island, Kerry. She is a former science teacher, so experimenting is part of the process for her design work.
Deborah Birmingham learned the craft of mosaic in Italy with the traditional hammer and hardie, has completed commissions, including shop signage and bespoke, abstract wall mosaics. She works with marble, ceramic, glass, slate, stone and Venetian Smalti glass
