Designing a Watch – From Concept to CAD
Join watch designer Bryan Leech for a live demonstration exploring the fascinating journey of watch design, from sketch to screen.
Set in the tranquil surroundings of Sidereus Watch Gallery at Kilgraney House near Bagenalstown, this half-day session offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a watch comes to life. The demonstration will take place on Saturday the 30th August 2025 from 14:00h to 17:00h.
The ticket price includes tea/coffee.
Learn how designers develop a design brief, gain insights into key watch categories and how they shape case and braclet design, discover how movements influence aesthetics and function, learn how to select and specify a suitable movement for your design, sketch concepts and concept development, learn how to create quick mock-ups, explore modelling component parts using CAD software like SolidWorks and how to create product renderings using Keyshot.
Whether you’re a design enthusiast, a watch lover, or simply curious, this promises to be an inspiring introduction to the creative process behind timekeeping craft.
