Creative Peninsula August 2026 – “Musical Instruments” Meet the Maker

Featured Image

To celebrate the arrival of the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil, we invite you to Meet the Makers of local, beautifully hand-crafted musical instruments.

Featuring three of our finest local craftsmen William Smyth Harps, Boardman Violins and Avalon Guitars, this evening will provide an opportunity to hear how their instruments are crafted and played and to chat to the makers behind them.

Creative Peninsula, now in its 25th year, is a thriving annual festival of creativity taking place in the picturesque Borough of Ards and North Down.

The region is well known for its many artists and makers and during Creative Peninsula visitors can view their work, purchase or commission a unique piece or art or try their hand in a workshop.

Why not join us for this celebration of creativity as part of August Craft Month!
