Create Your Own Screen Printed Ceramic Bunting

Create your own ceramic bunting using the screen printing on clay method. Learn how to shape and smooth clay to make the flags for the bunting, then discover the art of screen printing onto the clay to make beautiful and unique patterns in colour. All materials are included.

Suitable for age 14+, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Each participant will make 6 bunting flags which will be taken away for firing and returned to Midtown Makers for collection 2 weeks later.

About Áine McGuckin:

I began my pottery journey in 2017 after taking a one day class in wheel thrown, hand built and artisan pottery. Within a couple of years, I invested in my own pottery kiln, to help me practice, refine and perfect my own unique style at my own pace.

I love to make quirky, brightly coloured creations, that bring life and light to any space or situation. That is why I only produce small batches, to ensure every piece is unique, individual and personal.

My creativity draws from the beautiful setting of my studio at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains. Rich in nature, with beautiful mountainous scenery, the skies often play host to local Hot Air Balloon enthusiasts who delight us by flying over our home, this stunning part of the world has woven itself into my work.
