Cork Craft Month Launch Party
About the event
To celebrate the beginning of Cork Craft Month 2023 Cork Craft & Design will hold a launch party on Friday 28th and a celebration in the form of a fair/market across two days on Saturday and Sunday.
Within the space Cork Craft & Design members working across mediums will be invited to set up a stall within the space to sell their work; as well as certain stand out pieces from each maker going on display within the space to show the level of craftsmanship within CCD. The Market will take place across two days in order to successfully launch Cork Craft Month while also giving people more time to talk to makers across woodturning, ceramics, textiles and more about their craft.

“Cork Craft & Design (CCD) is a social enterprise supporting and promoting professional craft makers working in a variety of disciplines all living and working in Cork city and county. Our aim is to promote Cork Craft, increase the range of supports available to our members and engage as many people as possible in the story of Craft in Cork. We provide networking, retail sales and exhibition opportunities for our makers.
Our goal is to ensure that Cork is nationally and internationally recognised as a destination for making, seeing, collecting, buying and learning about excellence in contemporary and traditional craft. We are building a robust support system that allows contemporary craft and its makers to flourish within Cork city, county and beyond.
CCD runs Cork Craft Month annually to encourage greater awareness of craft and increase sales of locally made products for our members.”

This event is a part of Cork Craft Month with Cork Craft & Design Collective. Summer 2023 will mark the 14th annual Cork Craft Month with over 50 events taking place all across the county.
