Coastal clay keepsakes at Make & Mould Studio
Join Florence & Milly Pottery at Make & Mould Studio for a fun, relaxed introduction to clay handbuilding as part of August Craft Month.
Inspired by the coast of Duncannon, participants will create their own small ceramic keepsake using simple handbuilding techniques, texture tools, shells, lace and seaside-inspired patterns. This beginner-friendly session is designed for anyone who would like to try clay in an accessible and welcoming studio setting.
During the hour, participants will learn how clay is prepared, rolled, shaped and textured before making a small decorative ceramic piece such as a mini trinket dish, tile, charm, sea animal or coastal keepsake. Pieces will be dried, kiln-fired and available for collection from the studio at a later date.
No previous experience is needed. This is a gentle, creative session suitable for adults, teens and children aged 8+ when accompanied by an adult.

This event is beginner-friendly, low-cost and designed to be welcoming to a wide range of participants. The activity is seated, calm and hands-on. The session is suitable for adults, teens and children aged 8+ with an accompanying adult. Participants do not need previous experience. Guidance will be provided throughout. The studio is a small working pottery space. Please contact us in advance regarding wheelchair access or mobility needs so we can advise and support visitors as best as possible.
