This workshop is suitable for all abilities. You will learn to handbuild using slabs. Each participant will make a ceramic house that can be used as a lantern.
Slabs will be cut into shapes using the templates provided. I will demonstrate how to assemble these and construct a building. Textures can be applied using stamps, rolling pins, and suitable tools.
Students are encouraged to be creative in a fun relaxed atmosphere. All pieces are fired twice and glazed by myself after the workshop. I will contact participants when their piece is ready for collection. Alternatively, postage can be arranged at an extra cost.

“I gave up a full-time art teaching position in 2020 to work full-time doing what I love. Nature is a huge inspiration for me. I love to draw attention to the small beautiful details of the natural world around me. Colour for me is joyful and uplifting and it is a huge element of everything I do. I love to see the people who attend my workshops catch the creative bug for clay or textiles. Creating with your hands is a wonderful experience and it’s great to see others enjoy it too!”
