Silver clay is a product developed in Japan to recycle silver particles. It looks like clay, and burns away to leave fine silver in a magical, easy process. Over the 2-3hr workshop you can create a piece of jewellery such as earrings or a pendant with silver clay and then learn how to set zirconium using bezels to finish the piece.
The workshop will cover the basis of using silver clay- designing a piece, using textures, shaping and preparing for firing, to using a blowtorch and finishing each to a wearable jewellery item. Use zirconium stones for this process.

“You will be amazed by what you can create, even if you have little or no experience with jewellery, clay or crafts. Silver clay is a friendly accessible medium, and together with the tools in my workshop and my guidance you will make something unique and personal to you. Participants will complete a pair of earrings or a pendant with 7g silver clay and 2 zirconium stones of your choice during the 2-3 hour workshop. The finished pieces are made of fine silver.
The workshop is run in my studio in Waterford, group size is limited to 1 to 3 participants per workshop. Participants do not need previous experience. Please email or call me if you have questions!”
