Summer Showcase at The Studio at Castle Ward
Each weekend throughout the month of August Castle Ward resident artists Ann Smyth and Charlene Rooney will be hosting a guest maker to demonstrate their highly skilled specialist techniques and process. Visitors to The Studio at Castle Ward will have the opportunity to meet these incredible local talents, learn about their journey and what inspires them and purchase work directly from the artist.
Demonstrations will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 till 5.00
Featured artists include
Week 1: Joanna Martin from Curlew Cottage demonstrating the art of relief printmaking and map illustration.
Week 2: Janice Gilmore demonstrating her intricately embellished machine embroidery.
Week 3: Alison Hanvey demonstrating her incredible throwing skills on the pottery wheel.
Week 4: Frances Magee demonstrating the process of botanical cyanotype printing .
Week 5: Julia Gill of Silvery Moon demonstrating her silversmithing and jewellery making skills.

Toilets and onsite parking available. Wheelchair access to outdoor demonstrations however the Studio gallery is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users.
