Big Spin for August Craft Month 2025
Weavers, spinners and dyers of all levels of experience are welcome to join us at the Big Spin for August Craft Month in the Beckett Locke Hotel on Dublin’s North Docks. Bring your spinning wheel, your tapestry frame, your rigid heddle loom, your spindle or your e-spinner or just your good self, and sit, weave, spin, chat, drink tea or coffee and mingle with us on Sunday 17th August from 11am to 4pm.
There will be informal demonstrations of spinning on both spindles and spinning wheels, as well as weaving on a rigid heddle loom.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Food can be bought on site or nearby.
All welcome. Free to attend. Donations accepted.
The event is free to attend, however since space is limited, you will need to notify the Guild Secretary of your intention to attend by emailing hello@weavespindye.ie.

The event takes place in a ground floor room. There are toilets available on this floor. There are tea and coffee making facilities available for participants. The venue has a Luas stop outside. Parking is available in nearby multi-storey car parks. We recommend travelling by public transport where possible.
