This is a fun day rediscovering the simple joy of old games that were an integral part of coming together for harvest time. Rope was made from all sorts of materials growing nearby like straw and hay and when stronger rope was needed fibres such as hemp and flax were relied on. Watch and join in from 11am-1pm while Will and Sonia prepare the ropes for the games from hay and flax and then come back for the afternoon of craic and competitions.

You can register your tug of war team – 5 people … at events@kilcoestudios.com

Do you have an old skipping rhyme you used to know well — bring it along to share and see can you still skip with it!
