Lampwork Bead-Making Workshop with Maggie Napier
Join glass artist Maggie Napier in her studio for a relaxed, friendly introduction to lampwork bead‑making.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of working with hot glass in the torch flame (shaping, dots, frit, colour combining, layering and simple surface pattern techniques) to create your own artisan beads under expert guidance.
All materials, a vast range of coloured glass rod and safety eyewear are provided. Your beads will be kiln‑annealed for durability and posted back to you once cooled.
This is a hands‑on session where you can expect to make at least six unique beads and enjoy the creative rhythm of working at the flame.
Dates available: Mon 17th, Wed 19th, Tues 25th, Thurs 27th.
Half day or full day sessions and three class sizes are available to book :
- One-to-one individual workshop : 2.5 hr £120, 5 hr £240.
- Two-person workshop : 2.5 hr £150, 5 hr £300
- Three-person workshop : 2.5 hr £220, 5 hr £440
Classes run from 10.30 am morning session and 2pm afternoon session.
