Restoring a Traditional Forged Iron Flat Bar Gate
Our heritage ironwork and the skills associated with its creation and maintenance are under huge pressure countrywide. We at the College of FET Cappamore Campus have Irelands only accredited Blacksmithing College, we train future blacksmiths.
For Heritage Week we are going to host an open Masterclass on restoring a traditional iron flat bar gate, members of the public, novice and experienced smiths can call in and view the work in progress.
This may be of interest also to heritage property owners, farmers and those interested in our history and heritage.
