Master class Texture in Clay
Clay is extraordinary at capturing texture; using found objects and everyday items, the clay surface can be transformed by homemade tools. The focus of this workshop is to discover new ways of creating texture in clay using techniques and tools that Eileen has been experimenting with for many years. Being willing to play is a requisite for the class!
The workshop is aimed at those with experience of working with clay, who want to have fun investigating new techniques. The results will expand their ability to experiment with the clay surface.
10 am welcome /meet and greet each other
10.30-12.00 Eileen will demonstrate the techniques she uses to capture texture
12- 12.30 Texture making by participants
12.30 -1.30 Break for lunch
14.00-16.00 Create the work, assemble the pieces.
16.00-16.30 Tea/coffee, question and answer, group chat.
