Rush Chair seating demonstration
Come and see the dying craft of rush seating a chair in action in Kilcoe Studios Ballydehob, West Cork
During the day Sonia will be re – seating an old and new chair with natural rushes gathered from a nearby lake { the long common club rush } You will get to see the craft in action and possibly get to try a bit out yourself and learn more about what these rushes can be used for .
This will take place on Friday 21st August 11am – 4pm. There will be a rope display using other heritage materials also along with local craft work for sale{ until 5pm } . There will be more information about this in another ‘event’
Suitable for all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult.
