Enjoy an immersive experience at Pier 36, Donaghadee on 20th August from 10am where you will be greeted with freshly made tea/coffee and scones and begin to learn the craft of wicker weaving. Led by the extremely talented Clive Lyttle of Welig Heritage Crafts, you will be expertly guided on how to create your exquisite wicker hare made mostly from local natural materials. The event will run from 10am to 4pm and the team at Pier 36 will provide a delicious lunch, packed with locally sourced produce followed by tea/coffee and cake.
The event brings a unique offering of crafting, friendship, networking combined with excellent food and a warm, welcoming environment.
Not sure? Check out Holly the Destroyer who recently attended one of our Wicker Workshops and provided an exceptional review making a garlic basket. Clive from Welig Heritage Crafts has also had a moment in the media having been selected to host a stall among a select number of other local businesses for His Majesty the King on his visit to Newtownards, Co. Down.
We can guarantee an excellent day and of course, a hare creation to take pride and place in your home.
