This workshop is perfect for an embroidery beginner or for someone wanting to refresh skills – create a personalised embroidery hoop stitched with your own words and design.
What makes this workshop special is that you choose your personalised centrepiece: perhaps a short phrase, quote, or name to stitch into the design. If you’re stuck for inspiration, the pattern includes a list of suggestions to spark ideas.
You’ll learn a selection of beginner-friendly stitches and leave with a piece ready to frame in the hoop used during class, making it a perfect gift or keepsake.
The workshop includes how to prepare fabric in a hoop and start stitching; several core embroidery stitches for outlining and detail; how to transfer your chosen text or phrase; tips for neat lettering and balanced designs; and finishing techniques for displaying your hoop.
