Gaby Aubin – Stained Glass Craft Exhibition

Featured Image

The artist is based in West Cork and works in stained glass, creating finely detailed pieces inspired by natural habitats and wildlife. From an early childhood spent outdoors in the countryside, her practice centres on birds, animals, and marine life, translating careful observation into glass through colour, line, and light.

She trained in traditional stained glass while living in England and has since developed her practice independently, refining her skills in Tiffany style copper-foil techniques. Wirework elements draw on her background in jewelry making, while hand-painted details reflect a balance of structure and delicacy.

The glass type is selected for its ability to reflect the character of each subject. Her work combines contemporary and traditional glass designs and processes using surface, texture, and light as essential expressive elements.

She values direct engagement with viewers and collectors so she showcases her work throughout the year at various craft fairs and markets. She can often be found in Kinsale during the spring and summer months and is open to taking commissions.
