
About the event
Throughout August ‘Made in Sligo’ will host a selection demonstrations and workshops by one of their makers.
Tom will give a talk on the Raku process, it’s concepts and principles. He will discuss its origins and the spiritual dimension to the process. Tom will also be firing a kiln and it will be opened at 1,000 degrees and the ceramics placed into sawdust, this practice is unique to him.
