“All of my hand carved designs are inspired by Irish Visual Culture. The first pieces I made were crochet and knitted pieces. using a special techniques, they were turned into prints, to have made into metal blocks. These were used to de-boss with gold foil onto hand bound linen notebooks. Both my mother and grandmother did knitting and crochet when I was growing up. This work for me, was and is very memory based.
All of my work is made in the most sustainable way with zero waste. This is also carrying on the tradition of my mother and grandmother. They re-used and recycled everything.”
