About the organiser
I created a display of my flowers, birds, Bees and Butterflies to adorn the walls of the Middle Country Cafe, It is all my own work illustrating handcrafted products displayed as an art. I make Flowers and birds in Irish tweed (mostly scraps and off-cuts) and use them as brooches, or to adorn purses and bags. The installation includes a wall hanging created by attaching the brooches to larger pieces of Irish tweed, and a string of purses in the form of bunting. I also make Butterflies from machine embroidery. I have created the full set of 32 Irish butterflies, these are displayed as brooches on a 2.5m x 1.5m (approx.) wall hanging, and as framed collections in both “Taditional” Victorian style sets and as art pieces.
