Candle making workshop with Karen Allison. Experience the art of candle making, learn the history of this craft and make your own candle to take home. From the ancient beeswax to the modern soy. All materials are suppled.

About the organiser

Candle maker Karen Allison welcomes you to her workshop in west Wicklow to experience the art of candle making.

“When I decided to become a candlemaker I went and talked to the best, Mr. David Constable, maker of candles for the Harry Potter films and much more. I spent some time with David and he is still a mentor to this day. And the love of the craft grew from that time and continues in my workshop in West Wicklow under Lugnaquilla mountain. It is a setting so beautiful that I never feel I am working as my spirit lifts every time I look out my window at the view I am so lucky to have everyday.”
