QEST Craft Corner at Mourne Textiles
About the event
Visit Mourne Textiles’ recently opened shop at their mill in the Mourne Mountains, where you’ll find a showcase of crafts by Northern Irish Scholars of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST).
Contemporary blown glass tableware by QEST Eranda Foundation Scholar Scott Benefield and handsewn leather accessories by QEST Saddlers’ Company Scholar Lucy Cushley will be displayed alongside the luxury home furnishings woven by QEST Rokill Ltd. Scholar Mario Sierra, QEST Pilgrim Trust Apprentice Daniel McKeown and others working at the historic, family-run mill.
The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) supports excellence in craftsmanship by funding the training and education of talented and aspiring makers.
