Fused Glass Workshop – Mobile making
About the event
Design and assemble your own fused glass mobile with Eleanor-Jane McCartney.
Eleanor is a North Coast glass artist and educator, and will guide you in this workshop through the design process to the assembling of your colourful glass angels for your mobile.
You will learn how to cut and assemble glass in a number of forms (sheet glass, frit, stringers and confetti). Your glass pieces will then be fired and collectable (or postable, by arrangement) roughly a week after the workshop.
The workshop venue will be in The Boat House Gallery Studio, right next to the UNESCO site The Giant’s Causeway, where six artists showcase their creativity – ceramics, silverware, felt-making, printmaking, marine art and of course glass, in several different forms.
What is there not to love about this opportunity to view, make and take home, beautiful creative works? There’s even a delicious coffee/tea cake break thrown in!
Where is it taking place?
The Boat House Gallery and Studio,
The Giant’s Causeway,
60 Causeway Rd,
