4-day Intensive Throwing Workshop with Fiona Shannon
About the event
Join experienced local potter Fiona Shannon at Flowerfield Arts Centre to learn the basics of using a potter’s wheel. In this 4-day Masterclass you will learn to improve your throwing techniques. You will also master techniques to refine your work such as trimming the bases, adding handles, spouts and textures to your pots. If you already have experience working in clay and wish to improve upon your skills Fiona will happily demonstrate and assist you with this.
Fiona Shannon is currently the Artist in Residence as Flowerfield Arts Centre. Fiona holds a BA Hons Degree in Contemporary Applied Arts from University of Ulster, Belfast and a Diploma in Ceramic Skills and Design from the prestigious Thomastown Pottery, Kilkenny.
£210 includes materials and kiln firings (up to 3 bags of clay, any additional clay can be purchased for a small additional fee).
