On the 1st August you can join Brain Injury Matters and take part in a papercraft workshop, using a wide range of papercraft and weaving techniques with artist and designer Rachel Fitzpatrick.
The paper pieces that you create together at the workshop will become a part of our large scale Papercraft Art Installation entitled ‘The Sun Rises in the East,’ which will be launched at the end of your workshop. The Installation travels from the entrance of Brain Injury Matters, in abstract forms where paper crafted, sun shaped and colour themed forms meet and move through the BIM Connections Gallery and then continue on into the BIM garden, where the Installation flows into recycled bicycle wheel weaving using water-resistant, acrylic wools that have been be made into a built awning.
