Opportunity to come and see a multi award winning workshop and artisan, creating your own culinary knife under the guidance of bladesmith Sam Gleeson.
A full range of techniques will be explored, heat and fire, sparks, flame, grinding, polishing and sharpening to forge and finish your knife
This is a taster of an emerging craft and cookery school, offered for free by kind support of Creative Ireland and Multitools Europe to give participants the chance to explore ancients craft skills and contemporary culinary arts as part of National Heritage Week and the August Craft Month

parking and onsite toilets available, a light lunch will be served so prior dietry requirements needed please - whilst we try to make this as open access as possible we are not currently set up to give wheel chair accessability, sorry full PPE of glasses, ear defenders, gloves and flame proof apron will be provided, but participants need to be wearing falme proof trousers and long sleaved tops pleae and ideally a good pair of boots
