Lampshade Making
This two and half hour workshop is perfect for beginners to learn the craft of contemporary lampshade making. Create a 30cm drum lampshade using fabric of your choice. Choose from fabric provided or bring your own if you wish. No sewing skills are required for this workshop.
What will you learn?
- learn how to cut your fabric using the grain and pattern
- learn to apply the lampshade pvc to your fabric
- how to attach the rings
- create a professional finish by creating neat rolled edges
What will you achieve
By the end of the workshop you will have a finished lampshade along with the skills and knowledge to create more lampshades at home.
The workshop takes place in Deerpark Community Hub, Carlanstown, Kells on Saturday 10th August from 10 to 12:30. The cost is €65 and includes all equipment and materials.
