Indigo and SHibori Mini-workshop
We’ll briefly talk about Indigo and its origins and uses. We’ll then delve into a few of the many shibori methods for tying, pleating, and stitching fabric to create a resist (otherwise known as tie-dying!).
Each participant will receive a half metre of cotton and linen to use on the day, and you are welcome to bring a bit of your own fabric.
Please note: we will be using chemical indigo, as I have some which was purchased a number of years ago, it dyes in the same way as indigo. We will talk about sourcing both the natural and chemical versions of the dye.
