Glimmers’, takes place in Kinsale Library and draws inspiration from the exhibition’s coastal location. The collection celebrates the intimate connection between craft and the fleeting moments of joy, awe, and hope that touch our daily lives. The exhibition showcases the work of twenty Cork Craft and Design Member’s, working across various disciplines such as ceramics, textiles, and furniture design, etc. .
A glimmer is a soft, wavering light that dances on the water’s surface – ephemeral yet mesmerizing. It mirrors the ebb and flow of the current, concealing and revealing the depths beneath. These glimmers symbolize the fleeting, all-encompassing experiences that resonate deeply, whether they be a moment of joy, a memory, or a spark of inspiration. Though brief, they captivate our senses and leave us with a lasting impression.
‘Glimmers’ invites you to immerse yourself in the joy of the everyday, appreciate the beauty of the natural world and celebrate the healing power of creativity.
