Welcome to the Crochet for Wellbeing Workshop.

Learn the art of crochet and how it can benefit your mental health and wellbeing. No experience necessary, just bring yourself and a positive attitude. Connect with like-minded individuals and unwind in a cosy setting.

“I am a Designer Maker / Tutor, specialising in fibre arts, using yarn as my primary material. I chose crochet as my method of self-expression as I enjoy the flexibility and potential of a ball of yarn and a single metal hook. Additionally, in the last couple of years I have moved away from using single use acrylic and other synthetic yarns to more sustainable and eco-friendly yarns that are also vegan, such as organic cotton and bamboo, to reflect my personal beliefs as well as to bring a higher quality to my work. I sell accessories, amigurumi and custom orders on Etsy, Our Wee Makers, in Midtown Makers Gift Shop, and at local craft fairs.
I have been teaching crochet and creative workshops since 2010. My passion is to explore creativity and it’s benefits to health and wellbeing. I teach people to crochet at my workshops and demonstration sessions at Midtown Makers, Ballymena. I usually teach workshops and courses at various ability levels from beginners upwards throughout the year at Midtown Makers, including seasonal sessions at Easter and Christmas.” Amanda Jones
