Celebrate August Craft Month with Borris Lacemakers

Join Borris Lacemakers in the beautiful setting of Borris House for a beginners Borris Lace workshop (registration, tea/coffee from 9.30 – 10am).

Borris House is the ancestral home of  Lady Harriet McMorrough Kavanagh who established the Borris Lace industry in the late 1840s. The House holds an impressive collection of traditional Borris Lace and has a beautiful Lace Garden on the grounds.

Participants will learn basic Borris Lace stitching techniques.

Tea/Coffee and scones on arrival. Light lunch (selection of sandwiches, tea/coffee, fruit). Please let us know of any dietary requirements.

Advanced booking is required: Cost: €40, which includes materials, tea/coffee and lunch.
