Art in August at Rockfield House
Art in August – a festival of all things creative set in the grounds and courtyards of the splendid Rockfield House. There are more than twenty hands-on workshops and lots of professional crafts people demonstrating their skills. There are children’s workshops, tours of Rockfield House amd live music to add to the ambience.
Artists will teach watercolours, life sketching, cyanotype printing, glass engraving, lino printing, gelli plate printing, still life and landscape drawing and more.
An Gobha, Tom King, the blacksmith of the Boyne Valley will be demonstrating his Craft.
A plein air competition with a prize of two nights in Rockfield house will take place in the grounds of the house, or indeed inside if that is where you will be most inspired.
More than twenty local crafts people will display and sell their creations in our Harvest Hall.
Adults: €20 (€22 on the day).
Accompanied children: €10 (€12 on the day).
