A Catalyst for Exploring Glass and the Written Word – Glass Society of Ireland Members Pop Up Studio Style Exhibition

Pop-up studio style show, open to the public from 4:30pm – 6pm

Bringing together Glass Society of Ireland members, independent writers based in Ireland and guests from minority groups.

A unique opportunity to start a dialogue through 2 private workshop sessions with a pop-up studio style exhibition open to the public.

Exploring the creative process between the writer and glass artist. Saturday 3rd of August is The Written Word workshop with Mary Madec.

Participating glass artists and writers will be asked to bring a piece of work with them for the duration of the event; these will be displayed in the space along with works in progress from the workshop.

The day will result in a studio style pop up show open to members of the public to enjoy food and an open mic session and a Live Collaborative Flameworking Demonstration by Lindsay LeBlanc (LooLooGlass).  4.30pm-6pm.

Creating an immersive experience for visitors, combining visual arts through glass and written word.

Additional session on August 4th.


This event is part-funded by Design & Crafts Council Ireland for August Craft Month 2024.
