Pop-up studio style show, open to the public from 4:30pm – 6pm
Bringing together Glass Society of Ireland members, independent writers based in Ireland and guests from minority groups.
A unique opportunity to start a dialogue through 2 private workshop sessions with a pop-up studio style exhibition open to the public.
Sunday 4th of August is the Scratching the Surface workshop with glass artist Kathryna Cuschieri.
Participating glass aritists, writers and guests from minority groups will explore the properties of glass, cut and score glass together and work on a communal piece involving the written word.
This will result in a studio style pop up show at the end of the day, open to members of the public to enjoy food and an open mic session 4.30pm-6pm.
These sessions with writers, glass artists and members of the public will provide the opportunity for dialogue with a view to fostering future collaborations. This event hopes to highlight and promote the visibility of contemporary Irish Glass in the Munster Region whilst also bringing together and building new connections within the Irish glass community, writers and people from diverse backgrounds alike.
